Class Pass Free Trial

Looking for ways to stay fit in Toronto?

If you enjoy being active and want to try something new, I found the perfect thing to try — and it’s free!

What’s Class Pass?

Class Pass is a monthly membership that is partnered with fitness and wellness studios, gyms, and even spas around the city. For a set fee you receive credits that can be used to book different classes, gym time, and services.

By booking through Class Pass you have access to a variety of different classes and can book with some of the top-rated businesses in the city. USing their credits system, you can save on drop-in class prices.

Free Trial - Good news! They recently just changed the trial to one month, so now there’s more time to get those classes in.

I signed up for their two week free trial which gives you 34 credits to use within one month. Under the trial you can only do fitness classes and gym time (no spa services and special classes) and you can’t rebook the same studio again. This just meant I had to try more places! Your membership will auto renew, so if you’re unsure if you want to continue with Class Pass, set a reminder to cancel before it ends.

You can look at class schedules up to a week in advance. They give you the class name, time, instructor, as well as a brief description about what each class entails. Next to the class name is the number of credits the class costs. I noticed the cost of credits varies with the timing of the class even for the same classes. Less busy times seem to cost less credirs. I have done classes ranging from 5 credits to 11 credits.

While on the trial I also noticed they give you a discount on class credits, allowing you to try more classes while one the trial.

So what did I manage to do while on my free trial?

These are all the classes I booked and my experiences with them! Click on their links to read about the experience!

  1. Aerial at Brass Vixens

  2. Reformer Pilates at Serenev Studio

  3. Strength Circuit at F45

  4. Mat Pilates at Harmony Fitness

  5. Cycling/RIDE at Sweat & Tonic

App Features

You are able to search for classes by a variety of categories. You can use their search bar using keywords and narrow it by location. You also can browse by pre-set categories and even by the amount of credits a class costs.

I also enjoy that they include the section that gives you details on the studio amenities such as having parking, showers, or lockers. There is also a section where the studio lets you know what to bring for classes, which is super helpful. Having all this information in one app for each studio just makes it easier when booking classes.

On the actual membership, your home screen will show you approaching classes that are having deals; classes are worth less credits to book. So if you happen to be free when one of these classes are running you can book them for a cheaper cost.

Worth the try!

If you’re like me and want to try some new fitness classes I would definitely give the free trial a try! Maybe you will discover a new hobby that you will want to do more of.

I also find the actual Class Pass Membership not to bad if you’re just looking for a class to do once a week at highly rated studios. Most studios have intro packages, but once you’ve done them once the drop-in prices do get expensive.

I am currently on the 34 credit plan for $79/month. Any unused credits (max 34) do roll over into your next cycle so it’s okay if you miss a week of class. You can add another class in next month! You do have the option to buy some extra credits during each cycle if you want to attend a class but don’t have enough credits. This price is discounted differently based on your plan.

I recommend Class Pass if you are looking to stay fit but prefer taking classes than the regular self-planned workout session at the gym/home. If you enjoy changing it up and feel like doing something new, you have the option to do so for no extra cost.

It’s a great way to explore different studios and classes around the city. Once you discover a studio you really like and want to dedicate more time to it than you can cancel your membership anytime and switch to the business memberships!

Invite your friends!

Lately I have been inviting all my friends to try the free trial. I invite them to do classes with me and they also get to experience Class Pass too! Having friends to do classes with you does motivate you to keep going with your fitness journey.

If they end up signing up officially, you get a bonus!

There is also a add friend feature. So you can invite them to classes you book and see what they have signed up for.

Other Services

There are a bunch of spas and other businesses included on Class Pass as well. These include massages, beauty services, saunas/ice baths, and more.

You can use your credits on these services instead (majority do cost more than classes). If you fall out of your fitness regime for a bit, you can at least use your credits on other services available.

I hope you give it a try and have fun like I did!
